Self-Guided Online Course

Lean & A3: A Human-Centered Approach to Problem Solving (DU 101)

Description
Organizations often struggle with ineffective uses of resources that can lead to less-than-ideal performance. One reason for this is an initial gap or misunderstanding of the real problem at hand.
This self-guided course will provide the understanding and skills needed to use the Lean A3 model of problem-solving. Lean is a structured method for empathetic problem solving, and the A3 is an important tool to successfully move through the Lean process and address problems where they are.
Through six self-paced modules, participants will unpack the why, what, and how of Lean, identify the components and structure of the A3, consider ways to develop metrics as an integral part of this work, and apply Lean and A3 to a specific problem at hand.
